The first game for Port was against Willowdale. The Mojack struck early scoring 5 runs in the first inning on singles by Craig Menzies, Bobby Orr and doubles by Dave Burnett and Jeff Cockerton. The second game against Goodwood was a 15-7 romp for the Mojacks Jeff Cocker- ton and Lee Wilbur had a home run each, Greg Warriner had 2 triples and Jeff Cockerton had 1 triple. Bobby Orr hit for 2 doubles and a single, David Culber and Travis Adamcryck each had a double. Craig Menzies had 3 singles, Lee Wilbur had 2 singles, Dave Burnett and ° Jeff Cockerton each had one. single. David Culbert layed down two excellent sacrifice bunts. The Mojacks got a bye into the championship game, which had to be delayed because of heavy rain. Oak Ridges was the com- petitor for a game that lasted until one o'clock in the morning, with the Mojacks being on the losing end by a score of 10-6. Craig Menzies and Travis: Adamcryck had doubles: while Bobby Orr and Craig Menzies had 2 singles, Dave Burnett, Greg Warriner, Travis "Adamcryck and David Culburt had 1 single each. Jeff Cockerton and Dave Burnett were on the mound for the Mojacks. A picnic lunch and ball game were enjoyed by all. Back in Port Perry Monday, July 20, the Mojack met the same Oak Ridges team, only with a different' outcome. The Mojacks soundly defeated them by a score of 7-1. Lee Wilbur had a triple, Steven Durham had a double and a single, Greg Warriner had 2 singles, Jeff Cockerton and Jim Whyte and Craig Menzies each had a single. Jeff Cockerton pitched a good game for the" ~Mojacks. Come out and support the Mojacks, they play their home games at the old Siri, Monday. night at Cartwright Softball scores replied with a home run for Nestleton and Blackstock. This weeks opening game - 'brought out two of the senior teams to play in Nestleton. The Blackstock Lions defeat- ed the first place, previously unbeaten Haines Esso team.
