All indications point to a complete sellout for the sub- scription series as they continue to bring in 1st class big-name performers, with an excellent variety to please everyone. The season will kick off on Monday, October 12, 1981 with "Billy Bishop Goes to War", This particular musical show is doing a thirty city tour across Canada with Port Perry being included. It is a dram- atic presenttion of World War 1 flying ace, Billy Bishop, who shot down an incredible number of German planes. Thursday, December 10, 1981 will see the amazing 'Tapestry Singers perform. This tremendously popular group will present a Christ- mas program which includes Tractors set to roar at Sunderland pull The Sunderland Agricul- ~ tural Society announced this week the dates for its 1981 Tractor Pull. This year's event will be held on two consecutive nights commencing at 6:30 p.m. Friday, August 14, will feature the vintage class, under 7,000 lbs., 7,000 to 9,000 1bs., 9,000 to 11,000 lbs., and a new class for modified. tractors up to 6,000 Ibs. The half-back program sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Recreation can be applied in the purchase of tickets this year. Basically what this means is that for the subscription series you may use up to four non-winning Wintario tickets (for draws between June 18 and December 24, 1981) for a maximum discount of $2.00 on each of the four produc- tions in the series. So sixteen non-winning tickets may be used to a maximum discount of $8.00 on the series. The series price is $30.00 so with this $8.00 deduction, the series can be purchased for $22.00!
