Mr. Rensink, a Port Perry contractor, returned Satur- day from Toyama Japan, where he and ten members of the Baptist Church in Barrie, donated their time and labour to help build the first Baptist "Church in Toyama. Aside from a sore back he picked up from sleeping on traditional Japanese mats during his three weeks in Toyama, Mr. Rensink 'brought back with him fond memories of the Japanese people and their customs. "It was a very worthwhile experience, one which I would do again in a minute," Mr. Rensink told the Star after he returned. In the entire city, there are prob- ably less than 200 Christians. It was the first trip to the Orient for Mr. Rensink, who originally came to Canada from Holland. And it left a lasting impressin, to the point where he says he's going to take his wife there on a holiday some day.
