In the second period Mike Mitchell scored the first of his 3 on a set up from Bill Bridge. Fraser finally got his last one on an unassisted play and before the period was over Doug Scott netted an unassisted goal to make it 7-0. It appeared that this would be enought, but Mike 'Mitchell scored two in a row to match Fraser's hat trick with Bill Bridge getting the assists on both. To add insult to injury Aldon Smith from Doug Scott with :50 seconds to go made it 10-0 C&B. Keith Fraser recorded his third shut out. "Yes, you could call this an ultimatum to the Board, but our executive is serious that these changes be made. "You can't start to teach these kids hockey unless you have the proper tools to work with. We can't even explain what an offside pass is," he said. Some of the other things the executive wants to see before the hockey season starts are a hook-up for the electronic time clock; doors on the toilets in the washrooms, proper locks on dressing room doors, and- hooks for clothing in the dressing rooms. '""We don't think these things will cost a lot of money, it's just a question of doing them," he said. Mr. Allen said that last year, the Association had a total budget of about $11,000 of which $8000 was spent for ice time rental at the arena. : PORT PERRY MINOR SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION $ : + GENERAL MEETING: at CONWAY GARDENS. The game was hard 'fought, both teams playing well. Our goalies Chris McConnell and Ryan LaRocca made some good saves between the pipes. I say it appeared closer, because just after the start of the final period it was tied at 1-1. Utica drew first blood late in the first period on an unassisted goal by Danny McKee. Both teams had numerous scoring chances, but Gerber for Emmerson's and Card for Utica came up with some stellar saves throughout the second frame. Two minutes into the last period Emmerson's found a hole in the Utica armour as Charlie Dennis tied the game unassisted. However, the tie was short-lived as Utica stormed back from the centre ice face-off and Bill Down finished of a play from Rick Collins making it 2-1. This was not enough for Utica, who were still search- ing for their first win of the season, as they scored two more to win 4-1. The final goals ~ were by Len McEnaney from Jack Monsma, and Laval Paulin from Keith Ellicott. Along with C&B, Larocque's Electric and Beacock's Hardware were undefeated heading into todays round of play. After a 3-1 Beacock's win, it is now Beacock's and C&B with identical 3-0 records. Steve Hawes on a pass at the side of the net from Ron Short late in the first period gave Beacock's a l-0 lead. This goal ruined Rick McLean's bid. The tie lasted for just over six minuted as Gary Toutant received a pass from Hawes in the corner to put Beacock's in front for good. Beacock's held on to their slim 2-1 lead through the rest of the second and well into the third before Keith Dalton fired a shot past Tubby Beer with 1:17 remaining. Gary Johnston received the assist. Larocque pulled their goal tender for the extra attacker, but couldn't get one into the net leaving the final score 3-1.
