Ontario Division of Girl Guides of Canada (which includes the Districts of Port Perry, Manchester, Uxbridge, Brooklin and Whitby) held a dinner Oct. 26th at the Port Perry Legion at which time various pre-' sentations were made. After dinner Elvira South- gate, Division Commissioner introduced the Head Table which consisted of Commis- sioners of each of the areas mentioned above as well as * Area Commissioner Beryl Young and retiring Camp Adviser Lois Heath. Also in attendance were Bev Brown who will take over the duties of Port Perry District Com- missioner for Guides in Nov- ember, and Alf Huggins, Commissioner of Scouts for Pine Ridge District. Canada Cord recipients Janice Jackman and Sandra Huggins of, Port Perry, and Darlene ' Comer, Louise: Dempster and- Sherri McMillan of Uxbridge, were presented with their Canada Cord Certificates: and Spoon and a corsage. This is the last presentation of this type as the new program for Pathfinders provides for the girls to be presented with them at the Canada Cord ceremony. This is the highest achievement in Guides - quite an accom- plishment, and the apex of eight years .in Brownies, Guides and Pathfinders. Long Service Awards were presented to Commissioner Marion Lee for 15 year's service, and Guider Eileen Gerber a 5 year pin. Camping Pins were "awarded to various leaders, but none from Port Perry. Camp Adviser for Ontario Division for the next 5 year term is Isabella Bell; Box 432, Port Perry.
