He won for Rhode Island Red Standards and Bantams: New Hampshire Reds; and Khaki Ducks. Mr. Brunton has been winning ribbons for his Rhode Island Red for many years but this was the first time he took four best in breed awards at the Royal. And the ribbons had special meaning for him this year as it was just this summer that a dog jumped the fence and slaughtered many of his prize birds. Go to it MoJacks. lk: No money to help fight VIA Scugog Township council _ 'decided Monday not to con- tribute money to help a passenger group fight a legal battle to keep the Toronto- Havelock passenger train on the rails. In a letter to council, the Toronto-Havelock passenger association asked Scugog Township for $1000 "to help defray legal costs" as the Association is taking the fed- eral government to court over the decision to cut the service next year. Although the council is on record supporting the Assoc- iation's fight to keep the train on the rails, members felt Monday it would not be appropriate to commit money from tax revenues for this purpose. And the Town- ship budget is so tight this year, it does not have $1000 that has not already been ear-marked.
