Church service held Sunday at Utica was filled with Christmas carols and the newly formed choir were delightful. Solos from Jason Van Veghel are always a joy. The poinselta sent over by Ives Florists added another nice touch to the lovely decorated Church. On Christinas Eve there will be a service of communion and carol singing to be held in Epsom Church at 8:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Service nex! Sunday will also be al Epsom Church at 11:00 a.m. There was a large crowd at the Hall on Friday evening to play euchre, prizes given out are (oo numerous to name, the main prize winners were: Ladies 1st - Flo Watson; 2nd Rita Storie and low to Lena Ogden. Men's 1st to Myrtle Alsop; 2nd Harry Hill and low to Morley Sellers. Freeze-oul winners were Marjorie Vance and Marie Blight with Bruce Houghland and Bill coming in 2nd. The next euchre will be on January 15th. There are still lickels available for the New Year's Dance at Utica Hall. These can be obtained from Mildred Thompson al 985-2049. The Bruce Geer family enjoyed a pre-Christmas dinner with the Strong families who gathered at Prince Albert Hall on Sunday 4 Mrs. Helen Crawford, Linda and Chris of Uxbridge were Saturday evening visitors with the Sutcliffes. Mr. Gord Bray visited on Sunday. Sympathy of the commun- ity to' Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cottyn and Wayne and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Kerry and family in the recent bereavement of Bertha's father. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Holmes of Toronto were with the Croxalls for a few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Carre and family were Sunday dinner guests with the Croxalls. Mrs. Eric Carre and Laura had lunch on Thursday with her brother Mr. Bob Hinch- cliffe and his fiancee Miss Chris Tell. The Carre family enjoyed the Ontario Hydro Christmas party for children at Bowmanville on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Doug MacSween and boys were Saturday dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. Roy. Hardy, Christopher and Diane in Oshawa. Judy's brother Danny, Lenna and Ryan of Scarborough visited on Sunday. Jennie Watson and Jean Jeffery visited Miss Marjorie Bailey in Port Perry Community hospital and were pleased to find her much improved. We also visited Mrs. Harper at Port Perry Villa and I enjoyed a visit also with Mrs. Colin Davidson. The Ron Brawn's are entertaining John and Nick Ubdergrove of Sudbury for several days. They plan to spend christmas with Nick's parents at Noelville (trans- lated Christmas town).
