Several from here attended a baby shower, hosted by Mrs. Ruby Beare on Sun. for the infant daughter of Debbie and Ed Ruis of Oshawa, and gran- daughter of Ross and Marie cookman. Miss Kathy Cookman and Carnie of St. Catherines and Susan and Mrs. Lizzie Cook- man also was at the shower for Kimberley Marie Ruis. The Women's Institute will hold their meeting at the home of Marjorie Beaton on Jan. 20th at 2 P.M. Mrs. Betty Laswick of Uxbridge will be our guest speaker, and she will display her collection of antique depress- ion glass. All ladies wel- come. .
