Pearce Auctioneers played at home and lost their game 4 - 2, Port's Mark Andrews scored the opening goal of the game. The Uxbridge goalie had the Port players all around him, and Mark on a rebound shot from "Jan Heyes was able to poke the puck behind the goalie. Uxbridge. came back, and Bret Meyers planted his first ~in behind Shawn Larocque, goalie for Port. Bret scored all four goals for the Uxbridge team. In the second period Mark Andrews scored again on a Rebels winone (From page 16) 4, 3 and 2 points on the score board. Dave Belmonte led all scorers in the game with 2 points for the win. Juniors Port's juniors played two good quarters of basketball - and 2 bad quarters. In the first period the Rebels outscored M.C.V.1. 15 - 12. The half ended 18 - 16 'McLaughlin. After scoring one point in the 'second quarter Port jumped back into the lead 43 - 36. The home team ended the' game with a 50 - 47 win. Port was close but could not hold onto the ball. Rob : Burnett scored 15° points as Stan Glass hooped in 9 points. Richard Alsoop banked in 8 points while Dean' Stone and Mark Phillips shot in 7 and 3 points respectively. Ken Elliott and Jamie Lane added singles. The school is now Into exams and will play their first game the first day back Mon, February 1, as they host the powerful Bowman: ville squad. good passing play from Jan Heyes and Jason Cochrane. Port went into the lead, but not for long. Uxbridge scored again to tie up the game at the end of the second period. 'Then Port put Noel Lovering into net, but Meyers of Uxbridge with his high flip shot just couldn't be beat. The final score was 4 - 2. The boys have 2 games through the week and then a tournament this weekend in Shelburne. Lets hope the boys are in better form for these games.
