The cars listed below may now go to the Regional Derby to be held at Base Borden on April 25. In SPEED 1st - David Beatty (2nd Scugog); 2nd - Paul Colbary (1st Seagrave) and 3rd- Jason Ausman (lst Scugog) In DESIGN 1st-Scott Spencer (1st Seagrave); 2nd- Matt Lettau (1st Uxbridge) and 3rd-Clint Griffin (2nd Scugog). The winner in the Boy Oriental Class was Glenn Weddell (1st Uxbridge). The Best 'Paint went to Dylan Hardy (1st Sunderland). The Overall winner based on performance in his pack was Ritchie Stapleton (1st Cart- wright "A""). Students prepare for PPHS At Home Only fifteen school days left until the March Break! That should be enough to brighten anyone's day unless they're a parent. Last week was a triumphant one for our music department. Many of our entries in the Sunderland Festival came up winners, among them the Horn Club, the~- Clarinet Society, the Intermediate Band, Cathy - Hall for vocals, Ann Tapscott and Donna Kerry for their duet, Alan Ferguson and others. Congratulations to all the festival participants. Also on the music scene our jazz choir is busily pre- paring for the National Festival in Hamilton to be held in April. April is also the month of this year's At Home. The committee is working hard but would appreciate more help designing and painting the decorations. This years theme is, appropriately, April Showers. The evening promises to be a walery wonder. Work is also underway on this years 'Drama Night. This year instead of one full length production there are four one act plays: The Hole, Portage, Animal, and The Feast. Last Wednesday Port ™ hosted a talk from English Professor Waller of Wilfrid Laurier University. Waller ke to the Grade thirteens ut the use of an English et and university life in .gerneral, Porf's poets should be getting their quills ready. Our own paper, The Rebellion, is sponsoring a poetry contest in the St. Patrick's Day issue. Listen for details. That's all for this week.
