Nursery school program is loved by the little ones _ by Jackie Glass The children who attend the Durham YMCA nursery school in Port Perry agree that their program is both varied and fun. The program is run by director Linda Skerratt and held in the basement of the United Church on Queen Street. Mrs. Skerratt says that there are as many as 21 children in attendance at any one time. The nursery school agenda is split into morning and afternoon sessions each two hours in length all week. Ages of the children range between two and four years. When they arrive, the child- ren are allowed a free play- time. Later they may sing songs in a group circle, make crafts and play in a play- room. : Mrs. Skerratt says the program is considered a '"'moderately structured" one.
