March 17, 1982 -- 15 Port Perry Minor Hockey House League NOVICE HOUSE LEAGUE by Don Steele Sportsland - 5 Reliable Plumbing - 1 Sportsland defeated Reliable Plumbing 5-1 in the second playoff game of the series.- The Plumbers are now eliminated, losing 2-0 in the best of 3. Reliable Plumbing were first on the scoreboard on a goal by Jody Logan, assisted by Scott Foster. Sportsland came back with 5 unanswered tallies on goals by Richard LaRocque 2, Steven Desautel, Bill Riddell, and Shawn LaRocque. Assists were awarded to Phil Edgar, Mike Olaisen and Carl Payne. The strong point of Sportsland's game was their goaltending. Andrew Pereman played an out- standing game between the pipes, coming up with several big saves on Jody Logan who as always was a real threat. David Talbot in net for the Plumbers faced many shots. Good work David for your fine effort. Sportsland now moves into the final round, facing the winner of the Kinsmen- Scugog Realty series. Scugog Realty -3 - Kinsmen - 1 Scugog Realty upset Kinsmen 3-1 to even their series at one, and forcing a third match on Friday, The fired-up Realtors took a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Michael Sluggett, assisted by Kevin Brown, and Kenny Smart, unassisted. The Kinsmen lone marker came midway in the second period when Donny Hughes scored from Noel Lovering. Kinsmen dominated play in the third period but were unable to beat netminder Brad Moase. Scugug netted their final marker when Gavin Cochrane slipped the puck past Craig Leask, after taking the pass from Kevin Brown. The third game of the series is set for Friday, and this should be a real barn burner. PEE WEE HOUSE LEAGUE PLAYOFFS In both games teams both fought back to stay alive.
