RET 392, $3995 Cr $2899 Following very complimen- tary and = sometimes humourous remarks from many of her past and present co-workers Mrs. Shier was presented with many beauti- ful gifts of gratitude. Mrs. Shier belongs to a somewhat banishing breed of individuals in that she is genuinely interested in each of her students not just while they are in her classroom but in their future comings and goings. She visits them when they are hospitalized, remembers them with gifts at Christmas and instills in them an appreciation for all the wonders of nature. She has been known to attend bridal showers, Christmas concerts and piano recitals and still finds time to listen to their individual problems. I feel honoured to have known this gentle and warm- hearted lady for most of those 22 years. I would be remiss if I did not extend my sincerest appreciation to the committee members who were instrumental in organizing this most delight- ful event. It was indeed a day to remember for all those present. ' In spite of the inclement weather the Park Day festivities were anything but dampened last week-end. Proud winner of the Bruce Kellington Most Valuable Player trophy was Delbert Brown of Little Britain. Con- gratulations on winning this most coveted award! Completing the days activities a well-attended dance was held at the Latcham Centre in Port Perry and from various reports it was a resounding success. ; Congratulations to Heather, Ivan and Wendy McWillianis on the arrival of handsome little boy Chris-. topher Ryan, recently.
