Hospital expansion From pagel teaching area for staff education, -- The Hospital Board expects that actual con- struction of the new addition will get underway in early spring of 1983 with the target date for completion set for the end of the same year. It is estimated that the cost of the addition will be about $700,000 with the money coming- from several sources. The. provincial govern- ment has confirmed a grant of $200,000; there will be $250,000 from the Community Memorial Hospital foundation fund, and the remainder . of $260,000 will be raised from the community, cor- porations, provincial and national foundations, and local service clubs and organizations who will be approached over the next few months for financial commitments. Howard Hall, chairman of the newly formed building committee said that as part of that final $260,000 there is a distinct possibility the committee will appraoch Scugog Township council early in 1983 for a financial commitment of up to $160,000 spread over two years.
