Pepsi Tennis program starts On Monday, July 19, approximately 60 young beginner tennis players became involved in this year's Pepsi-Wilson Minor Tennis League, being held at the Port Perry tennis courts. The children have the use of tennis racquets and balls donated by Wilson Sports Equipment Canada Limited, and free T-shirts and Pepsi are supplied by Pepsi-Cola Canada Limited. The two companies also provide financial support. Tennis Canada co-ordinates this national program, which has 25 sites in 11 provinces and territories. The instructor for the league is Doug Barton of Uxbridge. He is assisted by Brad Bigglestone, Diane Burt is co-ordinator and organizer. All are members of the Port Perry Tennis Club and they feel fortunate Port Perry was chosen as a site for a program such as the Pepsi-Wilson Minor Tennis League to the benefit of young tennis enthusiasts in the region.
