Mrs. Myrtie Stone was born in Seagrave and has lived her entire life in the community. Our Seagrave Country Store Squirt team came from behind to claim the game ® last Wednesday with a score of 19 to 18 against the Dowson Red and White team from Port perry. Paul Wylie lambasted a home run and Jason McCully was also the hero of the game when he also racked up a home run. On Saturday many from here attended the Farewell Open Hoase held in the Port Perry Parish Hall in honour of Rev. and Mrs. R.C. Rose and family prior to their move to their new parish of St. Olave in Toronto. Rev. R. Rose .was presented with a gift of new scarves as well as gifts for the family. Best wishes go with this family to their new Parish. On Sunday a fine con- gregation attended the joint service held at the St. John's Anglican Church. During the service Sarah Dawn Stainton was baptised. A gift of new hymn books from the families was dedicated to the memory of Velva Bailey and May Pritchard. In his fare- well sermon Rev. R. Rose stressed the continuity of God's love and our Growth in his Grace in spite of the various changes found in life. The celebration of the Sacrament of Communion concluded this meaningful service.
