This was Rally Day when the Sunday School commences activity for another year of Christian Education. Almost 30 children were present on this, first day after the summer holidays. Rev. Dale told the children a story of interest before they retired to their classes. He present- ed a fine message using as his theme, 'School Days." The President Aldeen Wick gave a very helpful opening devotion on "Faith". The scripture was read by Joan Knight and Chrissie McKinney led in prayer. Catherine Humphrey gave a very interesting story of the life of Jochebed, the mother of Moses. Aldeen Wick had a bible quiz and Nellie Hopkins closed the meeting with prayer. The next meeting will be at the home of Margaret Davis the 1st Wed- nesday evening in October. The community picnic was finally held last Saturday at the park after rain had been the cause of postponing it twice. And this time it was a + beautiful day, and everyone enjoyed the races and games and visiting and hot dogs and goodies.
