Rev. Jackson officiated at the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Olive Smith of Port Perry and Mr. John Gibson of Bewdley. The Groom is the sor of Mr. and Mrs. Emery Savage of Uxbridge. The Maid of Honor was Miss Janice McHugh, best friend of the bride. Brides- maids were Miss Laura Gibson and Mrs. Debra -Savage Karn, sisters of the bride, flowergirl was Dana Gibson, cousin of the bride. The best man was Darcy Schier, best friend of the groom. Ushers were Dave Karn, brother-in-law of the bride, and Kevin Savage, brother of the groom. Guests were present from Woodstock, Bewdley, New- market, Mississauga, Bloomfield, Toronto, Vancouver, Port Perry and Uxbridge. After a brief camping honeymoon, the newlyweds returned to their home in Caesarea. Hope - Stewart On Saturday, July 10, 1982, at Blackstock United Church Beth Darlene Hope and Victor James Stewart were joined together in matri- mony. Rev. Tansley officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Roy Hope ™ » of Blackstock. The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Victor Stewart of Goodwood. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a high necked gown of chantilly lace and a double crown pearl trimmed headpiece held a fingertip length veil. She carried yellow roses on a white Bible. Mrs. Jean Wilson, sister of the bride, of Brooklin, was matron-of-honour. Brides- maids were- Michelle Hope of Newcastle and Janet Stewart of Goodwood. Leonard Gould of Uxbridge acted as best man. Ushers were Jeff Harper of Goodwood and Bill Stur- man of Oshawa. The reception was held in the Christian Education Room in the Church. For a honeymoon, the couple went to the bride's parents cottage for a few days and now are residing in Blackstock. Knight The marriage of Kathryn Louise Mahaffy to Donald Walter Knight was solemnized at St. John's Presbyterian Church, Port Perry, Ontario on June 12, , 1982. The Rev. S. McEntyre officiated at the ceremony. Soloist was Mr. Arnold Ashton of Ashburn, Ontario sang the Wedding Song, and Oh Perfect Love. The bride was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mabhaffy of Port . Perry. The Bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Knight of R.R.2, Port Perry. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a floor length gown of nylon crystalatte featuring an empire waist, long full sleeves with wide cuffs, Queen Anne neckline and the skirt was enhanced with a flounce which flowed softly onto a full chapil train. The bodice, sleeves and skirt was trimmed with alencore lace and seed pearls. A lace cap held a tierred fingertip veil of silk illusion. The Bride carried a cascade of burgandy roses, and pink babies breth high- lighted by a spray of stephanotis and lilly of the valley touched with pink. Miss Leslie Skinner of Whitby, friend of the bride was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Karyn Gimblett, sister of the bride, of Janetville, and Miss Elaine Knight, sister of the groom of R.R.2, Port Perry. Ushers were Mr. Ross Leadbeater of Enniskillen, Ontario, friend of the groom, and Mr. Ivan Knight, brother of the groom of Prince Albert. Master Timmy Knight of R.R.2, Port Perry, nephew of the groom, acted as Ring Bearer. They all wore matching Burgandy Tuxedos. The reception was held at the 1.0.0.F. Hall in Port Perry. Mr. George Mabhaffy, Uncle of the bride, acted as Master of Ceremonies. During the dance, Mr. Lenard Franssen of Port Perry provided the music. Out of town guests were from Hamilton, Sutton West, Scarborough, Manitoba, Ottawa, B.C., and Staynor. The newlyweds honey- mooned in Carloton, Kentucky, U.S.A. They will reside in Port Perry until they take up residence in Oshawa during the latter part of November. HELPFUL HINTS To save time and money while providing the best shine possible to bathroom fixtures, use an old cloth which has been dunked in kerosene. Kerosene removes scum quickly and .the odor will only remain for a while, Vine - Hansen Saturday July 24th, marked the wedding of Laurel Marie Vine of Nestle- ton and Thomas Miller Hansen of Epsom. The marriage vows were exchanged in Nestleton United Church with Rev. D. Davies officiating. The bride is the daughter of Helen and Wilfred Vine of Nestleton. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Evelyn Hansen and the late John Hansen of Epso Given in marriage by her mother and father, the bride wore a white chiffon grown, trimmed with lace and a matching veil. Maid of honour was Tammie Demerchant of Blackstock. Bridesmaids were Dorie Macdonald of Port Perry, friend of the bride, Darlene and Debbie Vine, sisters of the bride. Flower girl was Kristine Wilbee, niece of the groom, of Rapid River, Michigan. Bert Ruhl of Epsom was best man. Ushers included Gary Osaduke of Port Perry, Harvey Curl of Oshawa and Dan Timms of Oshawa, .all friends of the groom. The reception was held in the garden of the groom's mother in Epsom. The couple honeymooned at Niagara-on-the-Lake. The newlyweds are now residing in Port Perry, Ontario. Showers were given by both Nestleton and Epsom communities and relatives of both the bride and groom's families. Farrow -Graham Scott Trent Graham and Doris Gail 'Farrow 'were married June 5, 1982. Scott is the son of Albert and Velma Graham of Orillia and Doris is the eldest daughter of Muriel and the late Bill Farrow, formerly of Little Britain. The bride and groom are residing in Lindsay.
