The cost to a participating Club member is $10.00 per machine and to a non Club member, the permit is $20.00 per machine. permit fee will pensated for next year when the Ministry of Transport give up their $10.00 sticker renewal to assist the trail funding permit program. These permits will also be required on Ministry of Natural Resources areas throughout Ontario. The Club has entered into and supports this trail fund- ing program because in the past too many people have ridden Club trails without paying towards their creation and maintainance. this program will give Ont- ario the finest snowmobile trails anywhere and deserves everyones support. There are other good reasons for Club support. Port Perry Snowmobile Club members have a fine Club- house strategically located near some of the best trails where everyone is welcome to drop in and use our snackbar. Our members receive the Scugog Snow- mobiler Club News public- ation seven times yearly with all local snowmobiling information. Trail maps are available showing hundreds of miles of the best trails. Members meet other interested snowmobilers and have many riding and social events to participate in each year. We are members of District and Provincial organizations which work to improve snowmobiling. Our Club provides Ministry of Transport approved Driver Training Programs, which are under way now, and are - especially geared towards the young driver getting his first licence. We all look forward to a good upcoming season; but, now before we start is a good time to stop and think about our responsibility to our- selves and to others to be safe and responsible snow- mobile operators. Now is the time to remind everyone, especially the parents of young riders, of the dangers of early season road and lake travel. Stay off the roads until the trails are ready. Stay off the lake until the ice is properly frozen. If we are going to have winter -- lets have a good one---think snow. For any further information please call 985-2888. NEED 'PHOTO COPIES?
