Special mention is due the two goalies in this game- Rick Evans and Brian Lethbridge, both 'of whom were outstanding. Gary Howell was the star for the Muskies with 2 goals and an outstanding nights play as well. The Muskies will be meeting Dunnville in the all-Ontario finals in the near future. The Murray Malcolms hosted a family gather- ing last Sunday evening in honour of Howard Malcolm's birthday. Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Mr. Stewart Thomp- son who passed away this week. Corrie and Harvey Malcolm were guests of Bridget and Walter Raiz to a dinner and dance at the Austrian Club in Toronto on Saturday evening. A quartet of curlers from this area par- ticipated in a bonspiel of past graduates at Guelph University - Terry Malcolm, Bill Walker, Chas. Gilmour and Jack Kyle and won the trophy. April Fools Day - an appropriate day we sup- pose to start our weekly column. Also a lovely spring day and Good Fri- day. A pleasant surprise to be awakened by our friendly Robin, who up at the crack of dawn was heralding spring with his cheery repertoire of '"'cheer-ups." A mourn- ing dove was picking up the overflow from the bird feeder and a pair of 4 legged wolves amble across the field beside the house, apparently oblivious to the tizzy they were creating in our Doberman, Nikkie who witnessed their passage. In a few minutes we shall take our leave of the premises for a weekend in Montreal - for a change of pace (and language) with Mrs. Audrie Brown, Eileen and Howard Malcolm - the occasion being - the observance of Howard's birthday. Hi-lites of the weekend were a 2% hour tour of the city which included a visit to the Notre Dame Cathedral, a most im- pressive edifice, and through .old Montreal, the Expo stadium and What is your bottom line? by Lana Douglas "What is your bottom line? Why? This was John Boyd's main ques- tion for the twenty people attending his session on "'Qur Quest for Love' at Heartland last week. John believes that if we trace our reasdns for anything we do back far enough with the question 'Why)' we will reach a bottom line of 'love' or 'fear' or their equivalents. John, who was a teacher for 25 years, is particularly intérested in the educational system since he feels children need love and not fear in- stilled in them and plans to work with teachers in the very near future. He emphasized the fact that he as not an expert on love, but simply a very interested person (and a very interesting person, by the way). There was a,warm and intense ex- change among the par- ticipants in. the latter part of the session. Heartland will con- tinue to explore new and positive alternatives. Some of these explora- tions will be organized as the Art of Living Series was: other forms will be less structured. Watch the coming events col- umn for speakers and events and for the less formal approach call 985-7241 or visit Heartland at 350 Simcoe Street, Prince Albert, Ontario. ~ CUSTOMBUILT _ FARM BUILDINGS Dairy Barns - Hog Barns Machine Sheds - Manure Pits - Barn Renovations - Concrete Work *FREE ESTIMATES* WUIS CONSTRUCTION R.R.#8- PETERBOROUGH (705) 743-8091 (705) 742- 6852 (CALL COLLECT) many other points of in- terest.
