The programme is in two parts starting with selections from the famed musicals "Oliver" and "Okla- homa", and continuing with a couple of more recent melodies and the well known "Shenan- doah'" with Charles 0O'Connor, soloist. Mary Holt and Lor- inda Jackson will be solo performers in That's Entertainment, and a new and interest- ing addition to Music! Music! is the first apppearance of Scugog"s talented flutist Laural Holtby featured with the male choir in "The Rose". The young artist will also be heard playing the Allegro movement from George Frideric Handel's Son- ata No.3 for flute and piano, and Franz Schu- bert's Serenade, accompanied by the choir's faithful pianist Gloria Forder. The first portion of the programme will end with a solo performance by Gloria Forder play- ing a portion of Edward Grieg's A Minor Con- certo, with choir back- ground accompani- ment. The programme in the second part will be filled with music and songs from earlier product- ions starting with H.M.S. Pinafore by Gil- bert and Sullivaf, the first demanding pro- duction staged by --Seugog-Choral "Society. Three members of the original cast of eight years ago, Mark Lock- yer, Jean Kennedy and Irv. The Merry Widow by Franz Lehar was among sthe most popular and successful productions of Scugog Choral Society, and again Bill Slute will portray and sing the part of Count Danilo: Roxanne Car- negie, singing the part of Anna, the Merry Widow, will present 'the beautiful and enchant- ing song Vilia assisted by the choir. Other songs to be heard are A Melody in Waltz Time and The Merry Widow Waltz.
