Blackstock Nursery School News .B.N.S. held the monthly meeting on April 12 with 22 members present. There are several out- ings planned for the next couple of months. May 10, 11 and 12th will be our next Show N' Tell. Plans are under- way for our trip to the Metro Zoo on May 25. Our Open House and registration will be held on Thursday, May 19 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The children are going to be busy visiting different places (restaurant tours, farms, the dentist and a trip to the kinder- garten). On June 1st there will be a tour of Cullen Gardens. As there are also other events being planned please check notices and lists at the Nursery School. Dora Martyn and Jean Adams served dessert at 1:15 and the regular meeting began with the leader Jean Adams reading a poem "A Smile'. Jean was in charge of the devotion. She read part of Acts 2 and summerized part of it. She illustrated with the use of story. The hymn, Take Up Your Cross was sung. The roll call was well answered with Your Favourite Hymn and Why. Marion Larmer reported on the Conference that she attended in Cobourg. Dora Martyn reported that two crib quilts are completed with one more to do. It was announced that we are having a dessert luncheon on May 31 at 1:30 p.m. with a special speaker. A bale will be packed in early May. The Hospital Auxiliary Tea will be April 30. Help is requested for the Beacock Picnic on June 18th. Jean Ferguson was in charge of the topic. With a chart she showed where our missionary money goes. She also showed a film on diff- erent churches at work called '"'A Growing Church Across Canada'. Jean Adams closed the meeting with prayer. Mrs. Neil Junkin, Mr. and Mrs. Gratton Peters all of Bobcaygeon were Sunday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Kelly and family.
