There were 65 reg- istered drivers and 102 entries in the various classes for these snow- mobile races sanctioned by the Central Ontario Snowmobile Drag Race Association. Pearce Auctioneers travelled to Stouffville to play our first league game of the season coming up with a 5-0 win. In the first period Lindsay Parry scored the opening goal un- assisted. Steven De- sautels scored the - second 'goal with the assist going to Duane Empringham. In the third period Steven Desautels scored the final goal of the game unassisted. Many 'good rushes 'were made by defen- sivemen Gavin Coch- rane'and Jeff Andrews - keep trying boys. The shut-out was shared by our goal- tenders Adam Johnston and Andrew Pereman. The boys all played a super strong game and this win was a team effort - keep up the good work boys. On Sunday, Oct. 30 the J.T. Pearce Auctioneers travelled to Cobourg to play an exhibition game. Andrew Pere- man was our goaltender for the entire game making some good saves. This game was a very close game with the Cobourg Team scoring 1 goal in the first perjod and 1 goal in the 2nd period. In the 3rd period, Port scored their only goal by Duane Empringham with the assist being credited to Steven Desautels. This game was defensive against defensive and a | fast moving game. The' final score ended in a 2-1 loss for Port. The- Auctioneers will host Uxbridge on Fri- day, Nov. 4 - 7:00 and will travel to Brooklin on Sat. Nov. 5 to play an exhbition game against Whitby. Port Perry assessed 5 penalties to Canning- ton's 8. Friday, Oct. 28 Port Perry hosted the Oshawa Canadiens from the Little N.H.L. and came out on top of this 5 to 3 effort. This was an end to end hockey game from start to finish. Special mention to Mark Kendall and Stacey Ballingall for some fine work between the pipes. Leading scorers for the night saw Blair Philips and Warren Geer with 2 goals each. Rounding out the scoring was Mike Gibson with a single. Steve Connors, Warren Geer, Blair Philips, Robbie Brown and Shawn Nanay all received assists. Port also came out on top in the "Sin Bin" with 8 minutes in penalties to Oshawa's 12. } Sunday, Oct. 30th saw a draggy bunch from Port Perry in Civic Auditorium in Oshawa to play the Little N.H.L. Bruins.
