Petites hosted the Oshawa A team and beat them by a score of 8-0. This earned Tracy Pelow a shut-out although there was no action in her end as the defence of Lisa Levy, Danielle Lally, Nicole Slack and Amy Parliament kept the ring from getting to her. Scoring for Port were Misty Andrews with 4 goals; Heather Lawrence with 2; Nicky Beare and Denna Lover- ing each with 1. Assists went to Lisa 1; Monika Franssen - 2; Lyndsay Dutkewich 2; Kim Poppleton 1; Michelle Stevenson 2; Amy 1 and Nicky 1. Although Kelly Menzies wasn't credited with a goal or an assist she did play a very strong game. Sorry, Kory, Leah and Christine couldn't be with us for this game. On Sat. Nov. 13 the Bruton's I.D.A. Petites travelled to Brooklin to meet the Whitby Colour Your World team and came home vic- torious with a score of 5-2. Lisa Levy scored 4 goals assisted twice by Nicole Slack and once by Michelle Stevenson. Lyndsay Dutkewich from Monika Franssen scored our last goal. Nicky Beare was in goal for this game. All of the girls played well in this game and most are learning new positions and are playing them well. Next game is on Sat. Nov. 19 at the local arena at 6:30 p.m. Hope to see you there! TWEENS On Saturday, Nov. 12, the Port Perry Kinette Tweens travelled to Whitby to meet the team who we beat last week, but unfortunately for us, Whitby was out for revenge and beat us. It wasn't until late in the game that Jen Pelow from Kim Caudle and Kim Loudfoot finally found the mark. A minute later Kim L. from Kim C. put one past the goalie from a free pass. Cindy Harris from Colleen Yorke scored our final goal. On Sunday Nov. 13 the Port Perry Kinette Tweens hosted the Oshawa team and were victorious with a 4-2 score. Sherry Harris opened the scoring un- assisted. Oshawa came back later in the period to tie the game. Early in the second period Val White from Kim Loud- foot put us ahead again. Kim L. put us ahead for good with a short-hand- ed goal. Oshawa came back with their second goal before Kim Caudle from Val scored our last goal. All of the girls played well for this game. Next game is at the local arena on Sat. Nov. 19 at 5:30 p.m. BELLES On Sunday, Nov. 6 the Port Perry IGA Belles had a home game against Ajax. The girls tried hard, but just couldn't find enough chances to score. The final score was 5-2 for Ajax. Port's two goals were scored by Joanne Conners, with Kelly Storry picking up an assist. The following Sunday they came up against Oshawa, and this proved to be the best game so far this season. It was a close fought game, with a final score of 9-9. Scoring for Port were Kelley Raines with 4 goals, 3 assists; Janice Jackman with 4 goals, 1 assist; and Kelly Storry with 1 goal, 2 assists. Joanne Conners picked up 2 assists, with Kim Garland, Tracey Elson and Laurie Parry each getting 1 assist. Donna McIntyre made some good saves to keep us in the game. Scoring for Port Perry was Kelly Calloway with 4 and Brenda Poirier with 1. Assists went to Michelle | Petites dominate Oshawa in 8-0 trouncing Beare with 3, Lisa Levy with 1 and Connie Norton 1. The new girls Paige, Joanne, Connie and Rachel all played well. Good luck next time girls. Midgets skate to 5-5 draw by Hillis Wilbur On Monday, Nov- ember 7th Menzies Motors Midgets faced off with Markham and came away with a 5to 5 tie in a game which they should have won as the goaltending by Paul Goreski was outstand- ing, but mental lapses by the forwards and defence let him down. Scoring for Port was Jimmy White assisted by Fred Cockerton and Bob Gobel. Craig Menzies assisted by Greg Warriner and Jamie Lee. Fred Cockerton assisted by Jimmy White and Dave Burnett. Freddy then scored again assisted by Members of the Royal Canadian Legion gathered at the Scugog Memorial Library on Friday, of those men who lost their li November 11 to lay a wreath in honour ves during World Wars One and Two. What a victory On Saturday, Nov- ember 12, the Stone Real Estate Pee Wee B's recorded their first win of the season with a 20-0 victory over Cann- ington. Jimmy Vernon led the way with 6 goals and 1 assist, followed by Jon- David Rodway with 5 goals and 1 assist; Dave Ackerman 3 goals, 2 assists; Matt Durward 2 goals, 2 assists; Ryan Free 1 goal; Brian Appleby 3 assists; Troy McCully and Ron Hall- igan each with 2 assists; and Neil Mark tallied one.
