Jan. 14 the Bruto:'s IDA Petites travelled to Brooklin to play the Whitby Color Your World team and beat them by a score of 5-4. Nicole Slack, who has never had the goal pads on, volunteered her services for the Empringham assisted by Chad Garvock. No scoring took place in the second or third period. The last few minutes of the 3rd period Port had some good chances but were un- able to put another one game and did a good job between the pipes. Whitby scored 2 goals in the first period. Early in the second period, Misty Andrews from Danielle Lally and Amy Parliament put us on the scoreboard. A scoring in the net. On Saturday Jan. 7 the Auctioneers travell- ed to Oshawa to play an exhibition game against the Oshawa Canadians coming home once again with a 2-2 tie. Pee Wee B's double up 6-3 Previous games between these two teams had produced exciting stuff and this one was no exception. An intense spell of pre- ssure by the George Stone boys ended in a very nice unassisted goal by Matt Durward. Uxbridge picked up the pace and young Buxcey in the Port's goal did well to hold them out until late in the first period, they slid one through his legs on a power play. Then Mc- Cully got his first goal of the season but Uxbridge levelled it up within a minute. The Port Perry team although hard pressed was playing more as a team than they had ever done. It seemed as though lising one of their players to the 'A' team had cer- tainly perked up their day. Dave Akkerman put us ahead from a goalmouth melee then Jim Vernon on a beauti- ful solo run slid one in when Port had two play- ers in the penalty box. Early in the third period Jim laid a nice pass to Sean Bradbury who made it 5-2. Uxbridge came roar- ing back and with Port taking a few unnecess- ary penalties, goalie Jamie Brown had to do some acrobatics to keep them out. Vernon scored another for Port before Uxbridge added to their tally to make the final. score 6-3. MUSIC FTC". THE 50s TO 80's! FEATURING ... Midgets shut out 2-0 by Uxbridge On Sunday January 15th the Canadian Tire Midget B's travelled to Uxbridge and came home on the short end of a 2-0 score.
