gC - Sw LE & Prince Albert Area News by Earline Armstrong Congratulations to 9 year old Kelly Newman on Simcoe St. Kelly won a silver medal on Saturday, Feb. 18th at the Oshawa Civic Auditorium. Kelly who is with the Uxbridge Figure Skating Club won against 10 others in her class in the Pineridge Skating Competition and came home with the silver medal for second. Nice going, Kelly, proud to have you in Prince Albert. And, while we are han- ding out congratulations, let's send some along to Don and Noreen Crozier - they got a grandson, he arrived on Tues. Feb. 21st, "Ryan Wesley" and I can well bet Bryan and Debbie must be proud. If you want to learn more about Diabetics and have your questions on the subject answered, well, on Thursday, March 1st, at 8:30 in the evening, at the Im- maculate Conception Church Hall, there will be a guest speaker by the name of Marlene Grass who will do this. Marlene is a Port Perry girl from years back and is now working at Ajax- Pickering General Hospital teaching Diabetes programme. Try and come out and learn more on the subject. Prince Albert Youth Club met Friday night at the Bowling Alley in Port Perry - 23 teenagers en- joyed an evening of Strikes, Spares and Misses. On the mens side- high was Bert Daniels; second was Er- nie Healey and low was J. Poots. Hope to see Skater Kelly Newman brings home the silver more out next Thursday, March 1st at 8 p.m. And I hear that Gladys Mahaffy and Emily Gas- sien are home from a weeks stay in Jamaica. Hope you enjoyed the trip girls.
