The Island United Church on Sunday had a busy day when the "Friendship" UCwW sponsored and prepared a Pancake Breakfast for families prior to the Church Service. It cer- tainly was pleasant to enjoy an early breakfast served by these energe- tic young women in such an artistic setting. Then in the afternoon, Mardi Gras, a carnival celebration came to our own Island when about 50 leaders and Sunday School children from the Island United and Port Perry Anglican Churches arrived at the Community Hall with their masks and dress up. They played games, made Easter banners and generally learned the meaning of the Spring Lenten season. This was climaxed by a Junior Communion Service. After refresh- ments of cookies and beverage, the meaning- ful celebration came to an end and all declared it a real fun time. At the Island United Service we were pleased to welcome back Rev.
