The Becz family, formerly of Ashburn, will be the new storekeepers. This week in Utica Hall, the euchre on Friday at 8 p.m. and the dance on Saturday even- ing to the music of the Country Ramblers. Church and Sunday School will be held at Utica at 11:00 a.m. The next meeting of the Scugog Beautifi- cation Committee will be held on Wednesday, April 18th from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Rail- road House in Port Perry. Mrs. Mildred Thomp- son spent Friday at Mount Albert with her mother Mrs. Miller and on Sunday she was a supper guest with Mrs. Phyllis Clarke in Ux- bridge. The John Croxall family were Sunday dinner guests with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Norman Holmes in Toronto. Bill and I had Sunday supper with daughter Dorothy and Dennis Gerrow and children at Top cow produces over 1,000 pounds of fat At the annual meeting of the Holstein Assoc- iation of Canada held in Ottawa in March, High Point Farms owned by Leslie, Kaye, Robert and Colleen Smith received the Award of Achievement for High Point Lena Elm Ex. She was one of five cows in Canada to produce 5 consecutive records over 1000 pounds fat. Bill Van Camp (left) was top scorer in the league with 37 points; Pete Namienko blocked enough rubber to win the award for top goalie (a 1.50 avg.) and Carl Fitzgerald of Galley Fish and Chips accepted for his team-mates who won the league championship bas- ed on regular play. ayne Fox was named the MVP in the Non-Contact league and he received the Arnold Taylor Memorial trophy. Voting for this award was done by the 130 players in the non-contact league.
