Although they lost their first game to Thorah Central, they came back to defeat: Kathleen Rowe and "Valleyview. In the game against Uxbridge to determine who would go to the final, the girls played their best basketball of the day. At the end of regulation time the score was tied. During an end to end overtime, Cornish were unable to score. Ux- bridge got one basket to claim the victory. Cornish entered the Scugog Invitational Basketball Tournament in Port Perry. R.H. Cornish were the Con- solation champions defeating traditional rivals Uxbridge 32-10 in the consolation final. Goodwood won the Tournament champion- ship with a win over Cartwright Central P.s. R.H. Cornish defeated Thorah, Sunset Heights and Kathleen Rowe on their way to the final.
