Russell Corner Corner Russell John, son of Richard and Margaret Corner pass- ed away suddenly at Oshawa General Hospital on Saturday, February 4, 1984 in his 88th year. He was born in Reach Township on November 9, 1896 and attended Shirley School. He was married on Nov- ember 28, 1931 and farmed on the ridges for many years. After mov- ing to the village of Rag- lan in 1053 he was employed for several years at the National Stud Farm. In 1977 he was presented with his 50 year service pin as a life long member of the Canadian Order of Foresters. Dearly remembered by his wife, the former Mima Corbman, 3 daughters: Hazel (Mrs. James Coates) [Port Perry, Greta (Mrs. Allen Hope), Whitby; and Myrtle (Mrs. Peter Karalash of Victoria Harbour, 9 grand- children and 6 great grandchildren and pre- deceased by an infant son in 1987. He is surviv- ed by one brother, Gordon of Columbus. His sister, Mabel (Mrs. William New) and Miss 'Maude Corner pre- deceased him. Mr. Corner was at Mc- Dermott Panabaker Chapel of Harold Wagg Funeral Home in Port Perry. Service and committal was held on Monday, February 16, 1984 with Rev. D. Tan- sley officiating. Spring interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery.
