The guests were Pat's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Al Welsh, her grand- mother Mrs. E. Welsh all of Bowmanville, and Mike's parents, Mr. and Sorry to report the very serious illness of Grant Edgerton. Grant suffered a fall in his home last week and as a result of the serious injuries, he is currently in Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto. Patients in Port Perry Hospital from this area include Bill Johnston, Mrs. Susie Harris, Mrs. Aln.a Taylor and Mrs. Lulu Graham. Improved health is wished for all these residents. Most of the local University students are completed their term and are home now. Good wishes for a fine summer are sent to them all. Marie Medd of Sask- atchewan spent a few days in the area visiting family and friends after a lengthy absence. She was a guest of Pat Fletcher. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Graham, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Kelly along with their aunt Mrs. Boundey of Port Perry attended the funeral of "their cousin Mr. Howard Graham in Orillia on Saturday afternoon. They joined other family members at the home of Jim and Ellen Graham and family at Lake Dalrymple follow- ing the funeral. Of interest to former Y.P.U. members is the fact that the minister was Rev. Allan Barnes. A group from here enjoyed the weekend at Mohawk Raceway, Milton and stayed over- night at the Mohawk Inn. Those enjoying this little holiday were Neil and Kathy McLaughlin, Grant and Heather Mc- Laughlin, Blair and Janet Martyn, Jim and Alice Waldriff, Carolyn and Gary Mountjoy, Glen and Janis McCoy, Neil and Elaine Bailey. Bob's dad Ji Bryans of Cameron spent four days this weekend visit- ing with Nancy and Bob Bryans and family. Angela Alpe of Guelph spent the weekend with Patti and Rick Alpe. Lorna Wright of London, Ontario spent a few days last week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wright. On Tuesday evening Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wright hosted a family gather- ing in her honour when a number of relatives had an opportunity to visit with her. On Wednesday evening she gave an illustrated talk to a fine audience at the United Church and again on Thursday evening she spoke to the A.C.W. of St. John's Church when those ladies entertained their sister group from Port Perry.
