Mother plays a 'key' role and we hope she was the recipient of visits from the family - if too far away a phone call - a card - a meaningful day filled with love - remember - each one of us has only one Mother! Court Lady Snowbird L1930 - Canadian Foresters SEE THE "IN-STORE SPECIALS LOADS TO CHOOSE FROM President Irene Train welcomed nine mem- bers to the regular meeting of Court Lady Snowbird L1930 on April 30, at the home of Shirley Jackson. The minutes were read by Sec'y Carol Doyle and approved. Treas. Dor- othy Lee reported re - the Broomball banquet and bank balance. The wedding on August 4 was discussed. $100.00 was sent to the Larry Cooke fund for his treatment of Multiple Sclerosis. We wish him "good luck" on the treatment. Anne Lee was appointed to attend the Bicentennial meet- ing at the Nestleton Community Centre. It 'was discussed that there are only five gravy boats left in the Comm- unity Centre cupboard and a year ago ten new ones were purchased by the Court. Where have they gone? Anyone knowing their where- abouts, please notify the group. (Someone has taken them home and forgotten to return them - perhaps - this happens frequently). Lunch was provided by Marg Lee, Helen Robinson and Anne Lee. Cub and Scout Activities For the past several months many cubs and scouts from this area have been making authentic costumes and equipment in prepar- ation for the Fort York Boy Scout weekend - which took place on May 11 -13. The highlight of the weekend was the re-enactment of the battle of 1812. A most memorable event for those attending! Pancake Brunch A Success Mother's Day Pan- cake breakfast and brunch held in the Nestleton Community Centre was a real success. It was good to see new members of the community involved. Many took advantage of this opportunity to visit with the neighbours. This fine annual event was sponsored by the Nestleton Area Recrea- tion Club.
