The Shadow Box The young players in Scugog's Theatre Workshop Productions will tackle their toughest assignment to date this weekend with The Shadow Box, the Pulitzer Prize winning play by Michael Cristofer about three families who must come to terms with dying. That's Joe, Maggie and Steve (above) - 2 aa It's not a lighthearted play by any stretch of the im gination, but The Shadow Box does have its funny ---- and often te moments. The show that won over Broadway in 1977 and claimed a Tony Award and the coveted Pulitzer Priz the youthful Theatre Workshop Productions at the Latcham Centre this Friday and Saturday nights. It's a play about human emotion, living and dying and focuses on the plight of three families, including e will be performed by in a dramatic moment, carried through by actors Steve Foote (left), Sue Alger and Bill Kane. Parkes are currently exhibiting their work at the Wagg Gallery in Port Perry. Examples of basic drawing exer- cises, using live models and still-life subjects, reveal the developing technical skills of these fine young artists under professional super- vision. The 17th Annual Jur- ied Art Exhibition, spon- sored by the Oshawa Art Association, officially opened last Tuesday evening, May 8th, at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery in Oshawa. One hundred works were selected by adjudicator Daines Miezajs, a full- time faculty member and chairman of the fine arts department of the Ontario College of Art in Toronto.
