Animals blessed at service The Coates farm just south of Port Perry was the scene of an unusual church service last Sunday when the Anglican Church of the Ascension celebrated Rogation Sunday. It's an annual service, traditionally held outdoors for farmers in the congregation who bring their animals and feed to be blessed. In keeping with the tradition Reverend Ansley Tucker blessed Snuggles the rabbit and Scotty, a West Highland Terrier for their delighted owners, as well as seed and livestock.
