TR Mid-term election coming Durham Region coun- cil will not change the structure of its commit- tees, but there will be an election next week to decide who will be members of the commit- tees for the remainder of the municipal term. Following a confusing procedural wrangle at the council meeting last week, members opted to hold committee elections at the meeting June 26, even though a majority of councillors do not want the mid-term elections.
