Continental Singers to Uxbridge The "Continental Singers and Orchestra' will perform a live concert of contempor- ary Christian music on Saturday, July 28, 1984 at 7:30 p.m. at the School. This year's concert and newest album is "Come Love The Lord". In addition to featuring medleys from that album, the program will from 'O Come All Ye Faithful' (the first Con- tinental Christmas album) and "Dreamer" (1984 Dove Award Winner-Best Musical). They perform their concerts nightly, seven days a week. Perform- ers are selected for the yearly 75-day tours@y auditions from thou- sands of high school and college-age young people. Auditions are held after each concert for future talent. This year the Contin- ental Singers and Orchestra will perform throughout all fifty states and Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, Bolivia, Bul- garia, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, England, Fiji, Finland, France, Greece, Haiti, Holland, Hungary, Israel, Korea, Martinque, New Zea- land, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzer- land, Trinidad, Ger- many and Yogoslavia. They have recorded 24 record albums on the Word, Light and Christian Artists labels. The latest, "O Come All Ye Faithful' and "come Love The Lord", are on the Christian Artists Records label. Solomons celebrate fortieth wedding Prince Albert Comm- unity Hall was the setting for a surprise dance June 8, 1984, in honour of Joe and Daisy Solomon's 40th Wedding Anniversary. Given by their children, Paul and Bonnie, John and Ava Solomon and Karen and Allan Faux, the dance was attended by rela- tives and friends from Oshawa, Raglan, Port Perry, Deseronto, Peterborough and Cam- pbellford.
