Bantams take the trophy at Cobourg annual meet by Lee Wilbur On Saturday, July 21, the Port Perry Lions Club Bantams travelled to Cobourg to play in their annual tourna- ment. In their first game they played North York in which Port came out on top by a score of 6-5. Lee Wilbur started the game with Dave Bur- nett coming in for the 6th inning to get the win for the Lions. Their second game proved to be a little more exciting. The Lions faced King- ston Township for the third time this year. Port had no bats going for them and Kingston had taken a 2-0 lead, not until the top of the 7th inning did Port's bats Roadhouse REEVE connect when Greg Warriner led off with a double then Lee Wilbur "hit a double with 2 men on.
