Brian will have -a short intensive study of the Swedish language before he goes to the family where he will stay for the first three months. Brian is spon- sored by the Port Perry Rotary Club for his exchange. On Friday evening a group of his High School friends held a surprise Bon Voyage . party for Brian at the Town Hall. A family party was held for Brian on Sunday. Good Luck, Brian! In last week's news I missed the names of three couples who had travelled to Pennsy- lania on the bus trip. They were John and Marion Carnaghan, Neil and Eleanor Werry and Merrill and Norma Van- Camp. My apologies for that omission. Franz-Josef Ruther who has spent several weeks with the Neil Bailey family left last Monday to travel by train to Vancouver. He will travel from there to San Fransisco from where Franz-Josef flies on August 6 home to Ruthen, Germany. Pleased to report that Pat Porrill has returned home after spending five weeks in Oshawa General Hospital where he underwent hip surgery. Pat has made an excellent recovery.
