The pitching of Dave Burnett, Jeff Cockerton and Lee Wilbur was top calibur and kept the team in each game they played. The outfielders of Lee Wilbur, Darrin Fulford, Steve Langille, Paul Copper, Craig Venning and Chris Cookman played well making many fine plays. Chris Cookman was badly missed in the final two games as he injured his knee while batting against New Hamburg. Danny Rankin was also injured pinch-hitting in the Kemptville game and was unable to play in the remaining games. A special mention of Dave Culbert who once again did a tremendous job behind the plate catching all 6 games and hitting well. The coaches Wayne Venning and Garnett Warriner and manager, Ted Culbert, were very proud and very pleased the way the boys played some with injuries and under playing condit- ions that were very wet and slippery. This was a complete team effort and a well-earned second place finish.
