Greenbank UCW will meet Wed. Sept. 12 at 2 p.m. in the Church basement. Choir practice will be on Sept. 11 at 7:30. Members of the Official board of Green- bank Pastorial Charge | REGISTRA are requested to meet at the church on Wed. Sept. 12, at 8 p.m. to establish a pastorial relation committee. Congratulations to all those winning prizes at the Port Perry Fair. Monday night the Greenbank Orioles play- ed the Oakwood Bears at Greenbank to a 25 all tie. Greenbank Squirts ended their season with a corn roast and barbe- que at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Timms. Doug and Judy Mec- Sween, Brian Timms and 16 boys would like to thank them, for all their work, to make the evening a success, a special © thanks to Jimmie Timms, who spent so much time preparing for it, also thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Earl Phoenix for help- ing and especially the hay ride that the boys enjoyed so much. Mr. Chapin is looking forward to the wood working class again this fall, how is that for a 96 year old gentleman. The Reverend Art and Ruth Rodgers, Darlene and Larry returned on Monday from a two week camping trip to Northern Ontario, Man- itoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. They visited cousins in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Winnipeg. They attend- ed Sunday morning worship at St. Stephen's Broadway United Church in downtown Winnipeg, where their cousins, Mr. Mark Rodgers was cello soloist. They also travelled in Montana, Wisconsin and Mich- igan. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McCombe of Oshawa were Sat. dinner guests of her parents, Rev. Art and Ruth Rodgers at the parsonage, it being her father's birthday. Congratulations to Mr. Kaikhushru Sorab Bharucha and Wendy Elizabeth Walwyn, who were united in marriage at the Greenbank Unit- ed Church on Sat. Rev. Rodgers performed the ceremony.
