The organ pre- lude and postlude by Mr. Ouellette was much appreciated and enjoy- ed. The instrumental and vocal numbers by Nancy and Jennifer Richards who travelled from the Peterborough area could have been extended longer for our pleasure. Rev. Dale Davis of Blackstock re- viewed the purpose of Anniversaries and the changes in daily living thro' the decades since the Manchester con- gregation had been formed over 100 years ago and reminded the Pastoral Charge of our new opportunities. As the Scugog Ann- iversary was reported for Thanksgiving Sun- day, it is found to be more appropriate for a week or 2 later. Dates to be observed next week are Sunday, Sept. 23 - Communion Service for the Scugog Pastoral Charge with Sunday School in full swing; Sat. Sept. 22 your visit to the Hoskin Stables; Monday, Sept. 24 the Social Planning Council meets again after a quiet summer. The program will feature a speaker to be confirmed and the meet- ing will be held at the United Church in Port Perry; Sept. 24,25 and 26 the '"Head" UCW ladies will be busy with pre- parations for the Turkey Supper at the Commun- ity Hall for settings at 5:30 or 6:30 p.m. Better reserve your tickets this week for sure. Also on Tuesday, Sept. 25 the 4-H Club gets started again. Phone Helen Hortop for information. Then by Sat. Sept. 28 ladies of the "Head" decorate the "Head" Museum Church and bake pies in preparation for the 'Harvest Home" Church Service on Sun- INE I80.1 [0 IVES 1:44 [d RENTAL - SALES SERVICE - REPAIRS R.R.
