-- il i dl 'God's luggage shop' featured Seagrave and Area News by Liz Smith by Liz Smith It's going to be a very busy Fall here in Sea- grave, if the amount of news given to me this week is any indication! The Seagrave United Church Women held their first meeting of the fall season at the home of Mrs. Ellsworth Kennedy. Mildred Puckrin led the worship program on "God's Luggage Shop". We may think of God giving each of us a piece of luggage to pack for our journey through life. Our talents, like our luggage, are all differ- ent, but it is important to use our talents to make the most of our life. If we have packed a lot of jealousy, greed, evil and useless things, now is the time to throw them out and repack. * Luella Kennedy con- ducted the business, when many plans for the coming months were discussed. Luella served a tasty lunch to the ladies. The ladies are reminded to keep work- ing on their bazaar work. The Good Neighbours Group will meet at the home of Martha Volman on Tuesday, September 25th at 8:15 p.m. Anyone interested, please come and join us, or call Betty Somerville at 985-8066. The Seagrave United Church 78th Anniver- sary will be held on September 30th at 11 a.m. Mr. Donald Darrell will be the guest speak- er. The group "The Joyful Sound' from Peterborough will provide special music. There will be a comm- unity shower in the church basement Fri- day, October 12 at 8:15 p.m. in honour of Calvin Nicholls and Anne Rook- Green. Everyone is welcome. Please keep this date in mind. Ladies are asked to bring lunch. As Fellowship Sister Year 1984 is drawing to a close, the Fellowship Name Exchange Committee thought they would post a list of names at the Seagrave Store again for your convenience. Everyone whose name is on the list has a mystery sister somewhere who might like to hear from you. Perhaps a "Happy Thanksgiving" note?
