On Saturday Mildred and Phyllis Clarke were out to dinner to celebrate a belated birthday of Phyllis's. Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Hutton and children of Ajax visited with the Earl Fieldings on Sun- day. Mrs. Dennis Gerrow and children and neigh- bour, Debbie of Ponty- pool, visited with the Browns on Thursday. Mr. and Jack Hinch- cliffe of Toronto were Sunday visitors with the Eric Carre family. . Birthday greetings this week to Kevin Carre who will be 9 years old and Mrs. Crosier who (I'm sure she won't mind me telling) will be 86 years young on Wednesday, and to Trevor Mac- Sween who will be 6 years old on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Brian Slute and girls of Whitby were Saturday supper guests with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Slute. Lorne, Eileen and Kenneth attended the Plowing Match near Arthur on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Hillis Willur and Lee attended an end of the season baseball party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. 'Garnet Warriner in Port Perry on Sunday when the boys of the bantam team were presented with plaques for their efforts during the summer. And a warning to those driving north or south through the village of Utica, it might be wise to put on your sun glasses in case the glare from the new mail boxes gets to you. Seagrave paper drive a success Seagrave and Area News by Patty Williams The Beavers will be holding their first meet- ing of the year this Thursday Oct. 4th at 6:20 in the Seagrave United Church. Three of the ladies from Toronto were old Sea- grave friends, and all enjoyed renewing old acquaintances. There will be a meet- ing on Thursday, Oct. 4th at 8 p.m. in the Seagrave Church Sun- day School Room to discuss the Turkey Supper. Representa- tives of Session, the UCW and the Good Neighbours are asked to attend. The Robinglade Estates Ladies Group held their first meeting last week and it was a huge success!
