Officiating the ceremony was the Reverend Stuart McEn- tyre of Port Perry. The bride is the daughter of Harold and Margaret Fitzpatrick of Port Perry. The groom is the son of Gloria Ken- nedy and the late Patrick Kennedy of Thornhill, Ontario. Escorted down the ai- sle by her father, the bride wore a taffeta and lace gown, embroidered with seed pearls, and a full length train. Her matching picture hat had a finger tip veil. She car- ried an arm bouquet of red roses and baby's breath. Evelyn Laschitz of Port Perry was maid-of- honour. Bridesmaids were Jane Azzopardi of Oshawa and Elaine Johnson of Toronto, all friends of the bride. The girls wore floor length sky blue gowns and car- ried arm bouquets of pink roses. The groom wore a grey and black director suit with a red rose as a boutonniere. Mark Wiltshire of Calgary, Alberta, friend of the groom, was best man. Ushers were John Fitzpatrick, brother of the bride, and Kevin Kennedy, brother of the groom. The ushers wore director suits with white . rose boutonnieres. Flowergirl was Virginia Roe of Oshawa, friend of the bride. She wore a floor length white gown with sky blue satin trim. Virginia carried a nosegay of pink and white roses. Ring bearer was Peter John McCague of Isl- ington, Ontario, nephew of the groom. He also wore a director suit with white rose boutonniere. The ring cushion was covered with red roses. Music at the ceremony was provided by Eleanor Davis and Dr. Reginald Davis. The reception was held at the Thunderbird Golf Club in Ashburn. The newlyweds are now residing in Markham, Ontario. McLaughlin - Gatchell On August 11, 1984, the beautiful home of Harold and Eileen McLaughlin of Blackstock was the setting for the marriage of their daughter, Kelly Jane to Terry Robert Gatchell, son of Robert and Diane Gatchell, of Blackstock. Officiating at the out- door ceremony was Reverend Dale Davis. The organist was Linda Kyte. The bride was assisted down the balcony by her father. The bride wore an off the shoulder for- mal gown of white chif- fon, the skirt was trimm- ed with three tiers of . scalloped french lace. The gently gathered waistline was accented with a satin belt. A floral wreath accented with seed pearls and tiny flowers held a two tiered ankle length veil. The bride carried a silk bou- quet of fusia roses, white stephanotis, baby's breath and fern. The maid-of-honour was Janis St. John, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jackie Gatchell, sister of the groom, Sharon Moffat and Dor- raine MacDonald, both friends of the bride. The girls wore iden: tical off the shoulder cocktail length gowns of YOUR IMAGE fusia taffeta. The gowns were designed by Debbie Murdock of Port Perry. The flower girl was Amanda Bradburn, niece of the bride and the ring bearer was Owen St. John, nephew of the bride. The groom was hand- somely attired in a blue Henley tuxedo accented with a white bowtie and matching cumberbund. Best man was Roger Gould of Nestleton, and ushers were David Gat- chell, brother of the groom, Rick Rahm and Allan Graham, both of Port Perry. Following the wedding ceremony, the guests were received on the lawn by the bride's mother, who wore a street length gown of dusty rose chiffon. She was assisted by the groom's mother, who wore a street length gown of soft peach. Following the receiv- ing line, pictures were taken on the lawn, by Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Wicks of Mitchell's Corners. The reception was held at Blackstock Recrea- tional Centre, with Stuart Dorrell, uncle of the bride as Master of Ceremonies.
