Com- mittee chairman John Wolters acted as the very capable M.C. for the evening's programme which began with musical numbers by Scott Madill playing his violin. Bethany Schryburt, author, pro- ducer and director of the special play 'Yarns to Spin" introduced the play which was then presented by 19 local ac- tors. This play portrayed life in Williamsburg (Blackstock) in 1878. Following the play, Mr. Madill favoured with several more numbers after which the Cart- wright Central Public School Choir sang several songs. These young people were directed by Judy Jef- freys and accompanied by Kathy Morton.
