Meta Swain. The Blackstock No.1 4-H Club held their Fitness Meet on the 28th of October. Mrs. Byers had arranged for us to go bowling in Port Perry. We met in Black- stock at 1:30 p.m. and went on from there. As each member was allowed to bring a friend or sister there were about 15 people present. After we had bowled 2 games we ventured on our way back to the church where we had a snack. The club members had been ask- ed to bring a specific snack to share with everybody. After we had finished eating we cleaned up and all went home. It was an after- noon full of fun and excitement. Natalie Green reporter. Anniversary Services were held at Blackstock United Church with Rev. Dr. Jewitt Parr guest speaker. Many of the worshippers came in period costume. Both the Junior and Senior Choirs sang special anthems. David and Gerry Hamilton sang a beautiful number. The guest speaker used as his theme Roots and our Future which was very fitting for a service commemorating 97 years in the present sanctuary. Following service a time of fellow- ship was enjoyed.
