This proved to be a very exciting game with some fine hockey played by both clubs. Port Perry's next league game will be at home on Friday Nov. 9 at 8 p.m. when they will take on Pickering Village. Just 21 seconds later, the Chiefs scored again on a two on one break with Brad McFadden getting the goal. Mo- Jacks had a wide margin of play in the first period, thanks mainly to a string of Lakefield penalties. Early in the second, MoJacks tied it when Jeff Duncan jammed a puck between the post and the goaltender's pad. It just barely got across the red line. But the Chiefs went ahead 3-2 a couple of minutes later when the MoJacks had trouble clearing the puck from their own end and Gord Davey found himself all alone at the side of the net. But Lakefield took just 16 seconds to tie the score at 4-4 when Chris Palmer beat Lovering with a shot from 25 feet out. Just before the end of the second, Brian Nicholson and Paul Butterworth put Mo- Jacks ahead 5-4 as they combined on a nifty two-way passing play in the Chief zone with Nicholson finishing off the play. Lakefield came out in the third period with a strong attack and were it not for the efforts of Lovering would have easily walked away with the game. The Chiefs got the equalizer at 12:40 with Davey finding a re- bound after Lovering had made the initial save on a two on one break.
