Scugog Mayor Jerry Taylor said that while the demonstration has not been openly support- ed by the Durham Police Commission, members of the Comm- ission have sympathy for what the police officers are trying to do. Mayor Taylor, a member of the Comm- ission, said there is support from the Commission calling for a review of the capital punishment issue in Canada and an overhaul of the parole system. Vin Walker of Port Perry has been involved as a volunteer in minor fastball for some 25 years as a coach, manager and executive. He formed the Port Perry Minor Softball Association more than 20 years ago and has been a member of the executive with OASA. Glen Wannamaker of Port Perry has taught the "Young Peoples' Sunday School class in this community for 30 years. He has also been active with the Port Perry Fair Board.
