November 13, 1984 -- 35 Block Parent group to form Utica & Area News by Vera Brown The Greenbank, Ep- som School Advisory Committee invite anyone interested in forming a ~ Block Parent Associa- tion, to a public meeting on November 27th at 7:30 p.m. at the Greenbank Town Hall. The interest and commitment demon- strated at this meeting will decide whether there will be a Block Parent Association or not. Mrs. Heather Bray, affiliated with the Brooklin Block Parent Association will be there to answer questions. A reminder that there is choir practise on Wednesday 8 p.m. in Utica Church. Bible Study at 10 a.m. Sunday followed by Church and Sunday School at 11:15 a.m. This week services are at Epsom Church and Paul Baster will be taking the,service. On Saturday evening there will be a dance in Utica Hall with music by the Country Ramblers. I believe they also have tickets on sale for the New Year's Eve Dance. Winners at last Fri- day's euchre were- Ladies- 1st Rita Storie, 2nd Mabel Pilkey. Men's 1st went to Greta Halsey, 2nd W. Brown and low Phyllis Clarke. Freeze- out winners were Floyd McDonald and Mildred Thompson, 2nd to Irene Elson and Hardy Noble. There will be another euchre in two weeks. Saturday visitors with Earl and Irene Fielding were son Jim, Jena and Marc of Pefferlaw. Miss Karen Aalto of Oakville, Mr. Dale Beare of Burlington and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Beare of Oshawa were Sunday visitors with Mrs. -Crosier. Mrs. Mildred Thomp- son was a Sunday dinner guest with Mr. and Mrs. Murray Kirton in Mount Albert. Jeremy, Justen and Susannah Gerrow and their mother Dorothy of Pontypool were in the village on Monday visiting with Gramma and Grampa Brown. Misses Allison and Gillian Slute of Whitby are visiting with their grandparents Lorne and Eileen Slute for the week. Thursday supper guests with the Slutes were Mr. and Mrs. Merle Slute. Eileen's aunt, Mrs. Oliver Trimble of Oshawa was a guest on Saturday night.
