Resort ordered to hand over a cool $20,000 Goreski Summer Resort Ltd. on Scugog Island has been ordered to pay $20,000 to a nearby property owner for loss in value of his cottage on Platten Island. The judgement was handed down last week by Madame Justice Mabel Van Camp of the Supreme Court of On- tario. The action against the 'summer resort, camp- ground and marina had been launched by Dr. Vladimir Nikolajeyich of Toronto who has owned his Platten Island cottage since 1967. Platten Island is located immediately to the west of the marina and campground, and separated by a dredged canal. The island is connected to Scugog Island by a causeway at the south end of the canal.
